Last week at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona, Spain, Cisco introduced the industry’s first carrier-grade, end-to-end WiFi (News - Alert) infrastructure that will deliver Next-Generation Hotspots (NGH). Cisco also announced it is working with several global leading service providers to deliver NGH mobile services with a new “small cell” solution that will utilize certain radio technologies to provide support for the continuing explosion in mobile traffic devices. The new Small Cell Gateway (News - Alert) will enable operators to manage subscriber and service information while integrating licensed networks with WiFi to deliver unified capabilities across multiple access networks.

Cisco CEO and chairman, John Chambers (News - Alert), explained why he thinks the companies new small cell offerings will “play a critical role” in delivering next generation mobile services. "Existing mobile network infrastructures simply cannot sustain the growth we're seeing on their own. Tomorrow's mobile Internet must span multiple networks and deliver seamless and highly secure mobile experiences. This requires an architectural approach powered by a cloud-intelligent network of networks. Cisco (News - Alert) and our service provider partners see tremendous opportunity as we together build out these networks and empower the mobile Internet generation," explained Chambers.

Cisco has seen a multitude of successes in recent months and has been at the center of a few collaborations that are sure to change the networking and business industries. Its latest partnership with AGC Networks that leverages Cisco’s extensive collaboration and virtualization business offerings allows organizations like AGC to integrate with cloud computing and communication systems and extend those same capabilities to its customers and business partners.

Cisco’s latest innovations in data networks are also reflected in its stock prices as well. As the System Technologies Company has seen a 23.1 percent increase in its stock prices over the last six months, the organization continues to be a leader in innovative networking technology and transforms corporations, public institutions and telecommunication companies worldwide. A trendsetter in its industry, Cisco continues to offer game-changing ideas that make it one of the world’s greatest technology service organizations.
